A discussion had come up recently on www.audiokarma.org about spring clips on the AU-919. I had thought that ALL 919's had binding posts (as they are on the two 919's I own) but it has come to my attention that some 919's (perhaps the early ones) had spring clips.
As for converting it, I am pretty sure it can be done, whether its really necessary or worthwhile, well...... thats ultimately up to you to decide. I dont think it really has to be done if both units work and sound fine as they are, and I am inclined to say to leave them as they are, but again, its your decision to make.
