It will probably be painfully obvious that I know nothing about electronics, but here goes.
I have a Sansui 221 Receiver and two LM-220 speakers. I want to know how a pre-amp would work if I put one into the system. My questions are:
1. Will a pre-amp boost the power of the system?
2. If I put a modern pre-amp with a remote control into the system, will I get remote control of some functions, ie. volume, mute, balance, bass/treble, etc?
3. If these questions are too basic, can someone recommend a site where I can learn about pre-amps (basic, please)?
