The November 1989 issue of 'Stereophile' and the April 1990 issue of 'Audio' (which I have) both have an in-depth review of the AU-X911DG.

The most important feature of this model is its built in D/D converter (digital-to-analog), which you may want to take advantge of by using an appropriate cd player.

As far as Power capability goes, the 911DG will do ok into 4 ohm speaker loads, but not exceptionally well. They are better suited to 8 ohm speakers.
