R-30 Receiver no power

Hi,
My R-30 receiver suddenly died. I checked the main fuse and it's OK. I'm not getting 120V to the on/off switch -HELP - Also, when I had power, my speakers would snap,crackle,pop for about 10mins then quiet down some what after that. Any suggestions on any of the above???
