Thanks for your reply. I'm driving a pair of ESS AMT1-D speakers rated at 6 Ohm's each. Glad your happy with your AU-919's. I had one concern about this amp, the lack of a loudness button! Any comments? I figured that the loudness button is used on the less expensive amps to comensate for the lack of umph at low volume. My AU-G99XII is rated at 110 watts, but I can't listen to it without the loudness buttons in much below -8db. Just doesn't seem to have any guts to push the speakers. the 77XII is a nice clean amp, but lacks the transformers and large capictors of the AU-919.

: You dont mention at all what brand/model speakers you have. However, the AU-919 is truly an excellent amplifier, one of the best Sansui ever made. I have two AU-919's. I can play either AU-919 thru my large 4 ohm Infinity speakers with no problems whatsoever, so I think you should be fine. Enjoy the 919, great amp!
