I personally like the sound I get out of my SP-X9900's. Some people are very happy with Sansui speakers. That's why they sell for BIG $$$ on ePay. Others don't think they have what you would call an audiophile quality sound. It's a matter of personal taste. A lot has to do with what you drive them with. And what your willing to pay for a pair... The SP-X9900's are my second pair. I had a pair of SP-5500X's and they sounded great with a small wattage (26 watts)receiver. Both of the speaker pairs I've owned had 15" woofers or bigger. Haven't listen to any of the smaller models. There's my 2 cent... Army
