Hello there, Damon:

As far as speakers go, there are many to choose from. In my case, I am an Infinity enthusiast. A great vintage Infinity site is:

Back in the late 70's Infinity made some Excellent speakers -> the Quantum and Q models. You can get something like an Infinity Qb for a very reasonable price, in fact, last I checked, there was a Qb on Ebay with a starting bid of $150. The Qa is another option, and since its a 2 way speaker instead of a 3 way like the Qb, the price should even be better. I happened to see a Qa on Ebay also.

If you want to spend a little more: Did you see my speakers in the 'My Sansui' section of this site's homepage? The speakers are the Infinity Renaissance 90 (introduced by the company in 1992) and they are OUTSTANDING speakers!!! Being so superb sounding/looking, not many are seen for sale nowadays on the used market. The avg price to buy a pair of pre-owned Ren 90's would be, hmmmm.... $1200-1600, I'd estimate. You can get the smaller Renaissance 80's for a bit less- perhaps $800-900, if you look around. The Renaissance models are just Great loudspeakers, they especially excel in their Soundstage ability-in that respect, they simply blow away many other speakers that cannot compete with them. Go to and from there select Reviews, Main Speakers, I for Infinity, and scroll down to the Owner Reviews on the Ren 90's and Ren 80's- the unanimous reviews speak for themselves.
