AU-9500 is possibly one of the most valued amplifiers among Sansui's classic ones in Japan (before Alpha Series.) Vintage stereo stores in Japan still buy AU-9500s from public to resell them. In the U.S., if your AU-9500 functions (it means you can play clean sounding music without the protectiion setting off), it's worth more than $200.00. If it's clean and absolutely no marks with original manual and box, it will be worth around $500.00.

: Am looking for any information about this piece. A friend has it, he is not a stereo buff, should I buy it from him? Hasn't been hooked up for maybe 20 years, but seems to work just fine with only a cassette for a source. A little scratchy on some tone/volume controls. What's it worth?
