You did not give any description at all about what happened to the amp- what failed on it? How did it break down suddenly? Did you check for any blown fuses?
If its just some small components such as capacitors or transistors that failed, they can be replaced, you dont need to order them from Sansui. The AU-X901 Service Manual will contain all the Information on parts and testing procedures- you can try a site like www.agtannenbaum.com to see if they have the svce man available.
If its a large componnent like a transformer that failed, then thats more of a problem, as you cannot get these parts from Sansui anymore and you would have to locate & put in the next best possible substitute in there.
