I am forced to lodge a complaint about the very poor after-sale-service of SANSUI at Trivandrum(Kerala).
On 24/12/1998, myself along with my family visited SINGSON Electronics Trivandrum,to purchase a good television set .After viewing the performance of three different television sets of different producers ,we selected SANSUI -COLOUR-DIGITAL-No2989-Picturein Picture serial no 16744091-Home theatre for Rs60,000/-
The performance was good.On bringing home ,when the TV was played for contineously for one hour ,white lines appeared across on the set with KR-KR-KR sound followed by disappering picture leaving a blue colour screen only, switched off the TV and when played after sometime normal performance appered .After sometime the same trouble is repeating .But when CD is playing no discrepancy noted.So I complaint to the dealer who told me to record in the complaint book. After 25 days one mechanic came (Mr Chandra Babu) visited my home and conducted detailed check and finally told me that a particular part in the TV was weak and the part is availble and hence he replaced that part after some minor repaired and left ,after some days the same discrepancy apperes and Mr Chandra Babu told me to complaint to the dealer .On my complaint another mechanic came and he detached the bottom board of the set and send it to Ernakulam.After 48 days he broughtthe bottam board anf after fitting it he told me that every thing is OK.All these repairs were made during the first year of the purchase.But the difficult was again continued hence I Complained to your (SANSUI) service center.After 18 days a mechanic came anf after making some tests,issued a receipt for 250/-and I paid the same.Simillatly different mechanics visited my houseat different intervals and all received the service charge.But the discrepancy continued.The most horriblepoint in that the mechanics attented last collected from me Rs 2665/- towards replacement charge( I have paid this by cheque).The discrepancy still continued without any change.Then I Complaint to your regional supervisor Mr Kiran Sabu,Who instructed the service center to rectify the discrepancy,They took set and kept with them for 48 days ant returned it without saying anywords they left the premies,But the condition of the TV set was worsed.Oftes I made complaint to SANSUI electronics company,ltd,Tokyo,Japan but the letter was returned with a note that no such company electronic company is available in Japan. The most pitiable condition is that at present I am unable to view the television picture for atleast ½ minte when trouble arrive.At the same time there is no disyurbance for playing Cd.By paying big amount for the Tv with ambition to view goog performance ,I am miserably failed in my attempt.
The I thought to purchaseing yout Projection TV Pj42-MULTIPLE X,but the whole family is objectiong the purchase a SANSUI set.So I earnestly request you to be good enough to set correct my SANSUI TV set so that I can view television programe regularly without interruption.Take early seps in the matter,because so amny people are visiting my house everyday and they all will create bad impression about SANSUI-Products.
