Just because cd players werent around back in the late 70's when the G-7000 was made, doesnt mean you cant connect one to it. You most certainly can. The output of a cd player is a straightforward line level signal. A convenient place to connect the cd player is to the G-7000's Aux input. I dont forsee a problem with using the equalizer as well.
