: I have a sansui 7000 that has a little static in the volume and balance knobs. I have sprayed the electronic cleaner I have in the switches with a little success, but I would like to know exactly what I need to use to clean and lubricate the switches like a technician would do at a shop. ALso, I would like to know could I hook up a Au-919 or Au-717 to this and use it as a tuner. It seems to distort some at higher levels when I add bass as it is. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Iguess you havenīt used the righr cleaner spray. Use Caig Labs DeOxit and you get rid of the oxide in the pots.
If you like you can connect your amp aux input from 7000 rec out if you. In such a way your amp (717 or 919) will amplify the signal coming out from 7000 rec out. If you have a Tape Deck connected to 7000 move the wires to the amp instead.
