After searching for a year, I finally found an amp I can enjoy for my vinyl collection - an AU-719 (1979 according to the S.N.). I think I got a bargain at $60.00 Cdn. including a T-80, but it does need a little work. I can find a fair bit of info on the 717, but very little on the 719. Anybody know the differences between the two?

I have twice requested price and availability on a service manual from a supplier well known to this site, but no reply over a week later. Anyone have an original they can repro and send for postage and p.c. costs?

The problem I discovered on the first power-up is intermittent, very transient loss of signal through both channels after running for an hour or more, accompanied by some distortion. No increase in volume when this occurs, just very brief loss of audio and crackly distortion, then returning to normal audio for a short time, then it happens again, etc. Any ideas? I'm not a tech, so I'm also looking for a competent vintage Sansui repairman in BC or Alberta, Canada, if anybody has a recommendation. Thanks - sorry about the long post...
