Hello! As far as im aware, the EQ for that series would have been RG-701 it was a karaoke type of component, had an eq of course, but had additional eqs for mics, and reverb.. From what ive heard, these models arent that spectacular. My dad used to have an a- series system. d95wr type deck n stuff. was OK looking. nicer , id say, then the green labeled stuff. I dont much care for the green label myself. I prefer the white on black. Heh, My friend here at work knows a silk screenist, and were considering getting some tshirts made up with various outdated logos, and white "Sansui" on black tee is one of the ocnsiderations, of ocurse not for sale, Because that would be bad, but as a novelty, id wear it! Anyways, hope you have fun with you amp :)

: Ah ok, so this series was pretty much targeted to the consumer market. I can see where you are comming from with the "black, "plasticky" and tacky looking" though personaly I rather like the style, but part of my personal choice in cosmetics is high contrast so I can actually use the controls with my glasses off. I wasn't really impressed with the matching radio / tape deck / tuner that i've found at a number of flee markets.

: I'm a little big underinformed about the model numbers. Does the term, "Classiquie" apply entirely to the A model line, or to the black plastic tacky made later on. And what are the key diffrences between the diffrent models of the A line. I see on e-bay an A-701 exists but the graphic equalizer seems to be absent. [http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3018102316&category=3282] but otherwise the same style physicaly.
