: Hi, I've got my hands on a set of 16 ohm input impedence speakers. Can I run them off my Sansui A-9 ?
: Or is the impedence too much for the amplifier ?
: Thanks

Hysteric: Actually your 16 Ohms is LESS resistence than 8 Ohms, not more so they will draw LESS power from the Amp. Your amp will have NO problem with this arrangement, the only problem is that if the speakers are not efficient (which is a function of more than just impedence) you may not get the volume you like.
I run two sets of 16 ohm Stephens Trusonics with my AU-7900 and have more than enough volume.
4 ohm speakers are harder on amps, and connecting multiple sets of 4 ohms is usually where people get into trouble.
