I wonder if anybody purchased one of these (and
the matching control amp) overseas in 1988. I saw one at one of the base stores
in Okinawa (12/87) and they were both like 600 or 700
dollars--very cheap. I believe the design was MOSFET with 16 matching output
transistors tied in parallel for 200 watts/ch. I got
the brochure, but I threw it away. When I got back to the states in July/88, I
called the local Sansui rep here in Dallas
and he gave me the speel that that amp was
discontinued and originally designed to sell for about $5,000. He said he could
get a new set for $1,100. Wish I would of done that
instead of buying the Kenwood M2A and control amp. Was just
wondering if anybody out there has this particular unit.
