Hi Andy
It seems that Tape Monitor Switch need to be cleaned by De-Oxide Spray. You should have a signal at Tape Rec from source setting by Front Panel Selector

: : If you double click on speaker icon in your task bar see if your input to your sound card is enabled.

: : : I have connected my amp (AU 217II) to my pc.
: : : I have no tape deck so have connected the tape (REC, play) to the input and outputs of my soundcard).

: : : I can play music on my pc through the speakers on my HI FI by selecting 'tape' on the tape monitor switch. But when I select 'source' and the tuner, I get no signal when trying to record using Audacity. I have configured Audacity to take signals from line in, and all the mutes are disabled.

: : : Can anyone advise

: : : Thanks

: Line-in is enabled

: A
