Sansui AU alpha 907MR is the japanaise domestic market model. MRX stays for international version of the same (MR) model, occasionally exported at least here in Europe, but also in some countries of the Far East (and perhaps Australia) with 220/240V mains supply. Thus, the main difference is the primary of the power supply of the transformer.

I found also what means various suffixes of the 1990's models (e.g 907):
-DR (1990) stays for "digital reference"
-XR (1993) stays for "X-balanced reference (circuit)"
-MR (1995) stays for "music reference"

I did not found yet the meaning of -KX (1992) and -NRA (1998). Interesting, isn't?
