: Hi,
: I've just been offered to buy a Sansui AU-D55X amplifier. It's from the first half of the eighties. I haven't find any info on it on the net! I've read at various web sites that Sansui amps from the eighties are mostly plastic crap...
: This one is actually made of metal and it weighs some 8.5 kg. It is 2X70W at 8Ohms. It also has some funky fluorescent peak power meters.
: There is an inscription on it: "super feedforward system" - what is it?
: How does it compare to more modern amplifiers, or to a Mission Cyrus One MkII amplifier, that I can buy from other guy?
: Thanks,
: Aleksandar
I have AU-D55X and Ill give you specificions
Power output: 2x70 watts at 0dB ,2x140 watts at +3dB Min RMS,both channels driven from 20 to 20,000 Hz with no more than 0.004% total harmonic
distortion 70 watts per cahannel into 8 ohms

PEAK POWER display
This indicates the power output and so monitor
this display when adjust the volume. Dispayed is
the output power+ in watts when speakers with an
8-ohm impetnace are used+ when impedance is other
than 8 0hms,the actual output will differ from output shown on the display conversion is then
necessary for correct readings to do so,multiply
the read value by 8,divided by the connected
speaker's impedance

indicated power X ____8____
(watts) speaker's
impedance(ohms)
