Hi BF Thanks for your response. My computer skills are limited. I purchased my BA 5K recently in CA. It has cosmetic issues but the price was right and after checking out the guts I was sure that it had not seen much action. My Japanese electronics tech assures me it is in good shape other than the broken volumn control.
I have a several good components 9090, 9090db,8080db,Tu727,BA3000 and Ca 2000. I am looking to upgrade to collector quality components such as TU-X1 or Tu 919 and compatable power. Any thought on BA 3000 /BA5000 I have close neighbors so I am thinking that BA3K and top quality speakers might be best use of limited funds. Does unused power make for better sound? I am hoping to find a better Ba5K shell once I am able to repair control knob. IF that fails I will put it up for auction as is or just wait. It sure is pretty inside!!!!!!!!!!!!
What shape is the unit that You mentioned ?
Send me your e=mail address and maybe we can work something out. Nice to meet you

Best Regards
John
