Got one of these out of a trash pile and thought it looked too cool so i sat it on the bench for a workup to see why it was tossed.Turned out to be the all too common output transistoritis.Pulled the four of then and replaced them with a quad of NOS RCA 2N3442. A nice 140w device that is a nice upgrade.Needed a few bias diodes too and it was up an runnin.Runs out of P/S reserve at around 53-55 w p ch. so it sounds rather nice with the altec 604's that are here in the shop.I set the bias and offset pots to run the outputs at about 65ma static and zero offset no load. Would like to see the Sansui recommended procedure for setting up new outputs so if anyone has a service manual and they feel like scanning the page with the info i will say a prayer that it don't take off again!
