: : Hi all,
: : I just picked up an A80 & an AU2200 (interated amps).
: : Does anybody have any info on these, even just the watts per channel would be good.
: : Thanks Colin.

: Hi Colin
: A-80 was 65 watts made 1980 -82 last one sold on ePay for $68
: AU-2200 10 watts made 1977-79 last ePay $53
: Hope that helps !

: : Thanks a lot Army.
Thats about all the info I need.
You know I thought there was something strange
about the AU-2200, when I first listened to it
I was supprised at how good it sounded, and I got the information that it was from the 4 didget series (off this site) and the cheapest one at that and thought it was not more than 20 watts but it sounds so powerfull with my not so efficient Energys.
I guested the reason was that they had used the same power supply for the 22,33, and maybe the 4400 models making this one a little oversized for the wattage, but I opened it up this morning and found it has an IC power amp in it, I was totaly fooled and I had to laugh. I have owned and listened to some of the best (and expensive) amps around over the years and this one comes pretty close.
Thanks again
Colin.
