BeatleFred, thanks for the info on the Sansui A-9.It came on the UPS truck today, but unfortunately it was either improperly packaged (not double-boxed) or was d.o.a. when shipped. Money was refunded and I went for a Pioneer SA-7800 in "excellent" condition, we'll see.

: Scott- Its hard to pinpoint and give an exact price on what an AU-D9 should sell for nowadays. Thats because if you use Ebay as a guideline, the selling price can vary somewhat from any given week to the next, depending on several factors, and even just whoever happens to be on Ebay at any given time browsing around and possibly interested in acquiring a Sansui integrated amp.

: $200 for an AU-D9 isnt unreasonable. Perhaps even a bit more if its in very nice condition, after all an AU-717, for example, can easily sell for that price.

: As Ive mentioned before to people have who asked, I think its tough to narrow a Sansui down to one best model- and thats why I own a collection of them:)

: Regards, B/F.
