I have placed the unit on a lower shelf and it breathes better. Its a pretty good sounding unit for a 80's model. Definately heavy and powerful also. I'll ask my tech about the bias. BK
: Its not all that obscure, its basically a mid-80's Sansui receiver (I have some hi fi mags circa 1985 with ads of the S-X1130 in them. And there's probably a review of it in atleast one of them I have, (I seem to recall anyway) 130W rms is the power rating. Its main feature is its an AV receiver, so it has the yellow jacks which make it easy to connect a vcr (or dvd player )to it. It also has the X balanced circuitry which was used in the AU-G model integrated amps built at that time.
: I'm not sure if its supposed to get warm or not- might need a bias adjustment to lower the operating temperature.
