The C-2302 preamp is the matching preamp to the B-2302 power amplifier, these are the followup models to the B-2301 & C-2301 that came out in 1992.

All of these models are very hard to find for sale Online. I was quite lucky to obtain my B & C-2301. These were Sansui's most expensive models, so I dont know how many people were able to buy them when they were new, probably most people were content to go as high as the AU-G99X integrated.

Well, I do know someone who has a C-2301 preamp for sale, in case youre interested, but I am sure he will ask a good amount of money for it. Otherwise, I think the 70's models CA-3000 and CA-2000 are excellent preamps. What is nice is that they have TWO pairs of output jacks, so you can easily connect the preamp to two power amplfiers and biamp the speakers, that is, if the speakers you have, can be biamped- my Infinity Renaissance 90 speakers can be biamped. Vertical biamping means that one amp drives left speaker, the 2nd amp drives right speaker- this arrangement is good if the two amps are both identical models.

Isao, who hosts this site, is currently investigating the downfall of Sansui- alot of problems have to do with Economics- the Japanese Yen vs American Dollars in the 1980's, and also some unfortunate scandal sitautions with Unions that affected the company in a bad way.
