Hi Warren
The first Sansui Solid State Receiver is TR-707A
introduced 1965.

: Thanks for the reply, Fred. Is it possible this was Sansui's first solid state receiver? The 2000 has a more primitive design, but a more modern front panel. This one is reminiscent of the old HH Scott receivers in appearance. From what I can tell it's not worth much, so I'm keeping it! I love the sound and the look of it. It has a very sensitive tuner. Interesting, since it has only a 3 gang FM tuner. I think the secret is in the 5 tuned IF stages.

: Warren

: : The 3000A dates back to the late 60's. I have one as well, its the oldest Sansui I have in my collection. Mine's a 1968 model.
