The interest is because I collect Sansui literature and I emailed the Ebay seller to ask if I could purchase a copy of the G-7500 brochure that I saw he offered with the receiver. He responded that he already sent out the receiver & brochure to the buyer. I then emailed the buyer to ask if I could obtain the brochure copy from him. He didnt respond until I asked him again in another email and I was just wondering if that was you by any chance.
As to your questions, 1) the balance control can simply be dirty and needs a cleaning. 2) If the receiver is ok now, then it can be assumed the accidental unplugging didnt harm anything, 3) get a good indoor antenna and hook it to the back of the G-7500.
