: I have several 881's and every one of the had a cold solder joint or two on the dial lamps. On the back of the dial light housing you can see several solder joints that correspond to the lamp holders on the other side. Lightly pusing on these with the unit turned on should cause the lights to come on. Carefully reheat the solder joints and they should stay on. Replacing them is not too big a job either.
