The purpose of Q-55 was to use at schools or restaurants where customers needed power and quality but not stereo. It was also used as the bass amp for the single woofer active network systems.

: : I just bought a Q-55 monoblock via ebay. Anyone have any experince with these? I guess the question is it worth me trying to hunt down a second one to make a pair. The output transformer particularly looks very heavy duty. You can have a look at it here:
