Sansui 9090 Reciever Repair

Hi,
I have an Sansui 9090 Reciever which has no lights for dials ect. Been told by a tech that the poblem is the transformer that runs all the lights. He can"t find the part. Does this sound correct and if so where do I find this part. Also what is this well working reciever worth ?
