The A model Sansui's are ok but Sansui built much, much better products that werent so "plasticky". Have both of you taken a look at the Sansui listings on the Ebay auction site? (www.ebay.com)

If either of you are looking to get another A model or perhaps a different Sansui, then Ebay would probably be your best bet to find one.

If you want to get it repaired, well, I dont know where youre located, are there any stereo repair shops in your area? Depeding on what the problem with it is, perhaps its might be less expenisive and just better to get a more ruggedly built Sansui model and not sink too much $$ into repairing a cheaper-made A model - unles you just really like the A model and want to have it fixed.

If you go to this site's homepage and click on 'Links' and scroll down, you will notice that Mr Warren Bendler is a reputable person for fixing hi fi equipment so perhaps either of you might want to contact him.

As for the compu select system, it wasnt mentioned what the other components were that you had, but I think it should still be possible to subsitute another amp and still have most of the functions work as they did before.
