I'm building my wife a seventies style stereo system for Christmas. I pulled my dad's old untitled audio turntable from the garage and just picked up a 7070 sansui receiver from a local thrift store. So now I'm looking for some speakers which I don't know much about. Anyone have some recommendations for what would sound good with this receiver? I would like to keep the price under $200 - is that possible nowdays? Vintage recommendations would be great, however I'm not against buying some new speakers to go with the old system; I just want to get a good sound. Is it a good idea to buy speakers from ebay or that you haven't heard before - I have been told you should really hear any speakers before buying, but maybe there is a model that works real nice with the sansui 7070?
