Hi David
A Passive Radiator is simply a Speaker without a Coil. It moves by the Air Pressure generated from the other Speaker (having a Coil) The result is better bass.

: I just brought up a pair of Sansui S-V929U speakers from my parents house. On the specs it says "12" Passive radiator" I am wondering what this is. Each unit looks like it has 2 identical 12" woofers, however I guess one is the radiator. Also, I was wondering how much these are worth since I cannot find any information on them. Thanks.
