Hello Fred, or anyone who may read! < :) > I noticed you use < or at least LIST > a DBX dynamic range expander in your setup, Im a bit intrigued about it, and how it sounds, not looking to buy YOURS or anything, but ive seen them here and there, and wondered if there is a profound difference with using one, for CD/LP. Or is it only for sources of a low freq range. Will it increase "presence" or widen soundstage? Kinda like a carver c-9 is said to do as well? Also! Ive recently aquired a RZ-9500 receiver, its rpetty darn nice, and doesnt look like it employs the kind of build UNquality of the earlier receivers. it HAS prologic, but i dont use it, i just use the integrated amp section of it,. Aside from the display fading every once in a while < which is driving me crazy, im trying to figure that out > its in mint condition,. Do you know the specs on this model? :) It matches < KINDA > my CD-X711, well, label wise anyways, so its lookin pretty nice in my rack o stuffs :) there was a Sansui " SIGHT AND SOUND " sticker on it, i carefully peeled off < hate decals on equipment > and stuck it a shelf on my wall unit. lol. man, my friends are going to commit me soon. look forward to hearing back from you, oh wise one :) :)
-R
